Fire Mane is a force, a women with a mission in her heart. From the first time I heard Chrissy speak it was like a call to action. I was mesmerised and there was instant, familar recognition in her voice as I could feel and hear her healing medicine. Sitting in the audience I had a strong feeling that we would come together. We were blessed or more like destined to travel on sacred pilgrimage to Peru together.
Fire mane is a soul with such determination, one who talks it, then walks it. At times I felt overwhelmed by her energy and her action. Fire Mane has taught me the beauty of us all walking our own path and staying true to ourselves. She has taught me that we are all very different and our uniqueness is our most precious gift.
There have been times when I have questioned am I doing enough for the world? Sometimes just getting the boys off to school and navigating my daily life is overwhelming. Chrissy would be found on the frontline at a protest and I would be meandering around slowly with my camera and kiddies in tow. Chrissy was a mirror, one of my most beautiful teachings in this life, she taught me life is not a race, there is nowhere to get. Being who we are and sharing our unique essence is all that there is.
Fire Mane is here to make a difference in a direct, powerful and bold way. She is here to shake things up. I have spoken previously about my time in the under ground temple in Peru. Fire Mane held me, together we sang the songs of the ancient ones, she gave me sound healing on the mountain, singing to my soul, calling my fragmented parts back home. This moment pivotal in my journey to wholeness. I hold much gratitude for her healing medicine.
From the moment I laid eyes on this magnificent woman there was a remembering, a knowing, that she held power that changes worlds.
